Your contributions go towards fire prevention education, the purchase and installation of ten-year lithium powered smoke alarms, making firefighting safer. Less than 5% goes towards administration and fundraising. Philadelphia Fire Department (PFD) salaries are paid by the City and the PFD does the smoke alarm installations and education.

Fire Safety APP, Stay Alive with That

The Philadelphia Fire Department and Drexel University announce the release of the new “Philadelphia Fire Department Safety App” on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm. on Drexel University Campus, 33rd and Race Streets. For smart phone users, the application is optimized for IOS and will run on Android platforms, giving users instant access to fire prevention and safety information.
